D Boss Rules OTT: Darshan's Yajamana Among Amazon Prime Recommendations

Everytime we open Amazon Prime Video or Netflix, we often get to see¹ a list of most popular shows and movies at the top of the page. The list is curated by the video streaming site and puts out the most watchable or popular TV shows, movies or web series they think will grab eye balls. More often than not I have mostly seen Hindi, English, Tamil and at times newly released Telugu flicks on Amazon's featured list of recommendations for its viewers.

This time, I was pleasantly surprised to see a Kannada movie among the top rated movies. We all know that Darshan had a fantastic year in 2019 with back to back hits. One of his best performing movies released last year which raked in moolah was Yajamana. The movie was a summer release and a drama which managed to woo audience to theaters. Yajamana did extremely well at the ticket window and became an instant it. So now even Amazon believes that this movie could increase viewership.

Yajamana was directed by Pon Kumaran and V Harikrishna. The movie starred besides Darshan, Rasmika Mandanna, Tanya Hope, Anoop Thakur Singh and Deveraj among others.
