With the Tamil Nadu elections fast approaching, Superstar Rajinikanth has taken a crucial decision to finally take the political plunge.

Even though the actor had confirmed his entry into politics, he had not officially named the political outfit. Now that he has taken a firm decision, Rajinikanth will be naming the political party on December 31. The actor himself has tweeted about this on his Twitter account.

On the other hand, discussions are going on about the Kollywood superstar's last movie in his film career. Currently, Rajinikanth is working in the movie Annathe directed by Shiva. The first schedule of this movie has already been completed. With the announcement of the news regarding his political party we hear that Annathe will be his last movie.

According to Rajinikanth himself, sixty percent of the Production of this movie is over and only about forty percent is remaining. "I will be busy with the work of the movie Annathe in the month of January and I will be active in politics as soon as it gets finished," thus stated the Thalaiva of Kollywood.

Hence the actor has not given his consent to act in any other movie. It is being speculated that he may get immersed in political activities such as selection of candidates, canvassing, and strengthening of the party. The actor's second innings depends on whether his party will come to power in the coming elections or not. It remains to be seen if the Superstar can become a hero in real life too and use his onscreen magic to woo voters in Tamil Nadu.

We have seen the political lives of huge Telugu stars like Megastar Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, who did not shine in politics. Pawan continues to be in politics while Chiru has bid goodbye after serving as a union minister.
