Nagarjuna Should Thank Rajinikanth For This Golden Chance In Kollywood

Superstar Rajinikanth is still the most sought-after actor in Kollywood. There is a huge queue of producers waiting for years to sign him up for their movies. Rajini is currently busy with his movie Annathe. But that's not the reason why he's making news. The Kollywood superstar is making headlines for rejecting a movie. And the most interesting part is that the movie's director happens to be his son-in-law Dhanush K Raja.

We all know what a multifaceted personality Dhanush is. He is not only a talented actor but also a producer, singer as well as a composer. He recently got into direction too with the movie Pa Paandi which was a box office hit. Then he took some time off direction for sometime. and got busy with a script. The script is now finished and has got the title Naan Rudran. We hear that Dhanush approached his father-in-law Rajinikanth to play the lead character in the movie. However, the senior Superstar is believed to have said a firm No to the movie.

Dhanush loved the way the script has shaped up and he thought only Rajini can breathe life into the character. However, because of his busy call sheet, Rajinikanth was forced to reject the movie Naan Rudran and so Dhanush turned his focus to another big actor.

And that actor is none other than Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna. The actor is said to have loved the script and instantly okayed it. So Naan Rudran will be a comeback of sorts for Nagarjuna in Kollywood. In a way, Nag has Rajini to thank for giving him this golden chance. The movie will go on floors soon after lockdown ends. Naan Rudran stars Sarat Kumar, Anu Emmanuel, Aditi Rao Hydari, SJ Suryah among others.

While Dhanush is busy with direction on one side, he's excited about the release of his next titled Jagame Thandiram on the other.
