Indrajith Lankesh's Shakeela Biopic Release Date Confirmed

Sandalwood filmmaker Indrajith Lankesh directorial movie "Shakeela" in which Richa Chadda has worked in the titular role will be released on December 25. This movie should have got released at the beginning of this year.

This is an adult movie about a popular actress during 1990. Shakeela, who hailed from Kerala, had predominantly worked in many adult movies across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. The Production team of this movie has released a new poster besides announcing the date of its release.

In the poster, we can see Richa wearing a saree and holding a gun. This movie will be released in many languages around Christmas. Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripati, and Malayalam actor Rajiv Pillai are in the star cast in this movie. This movie is bankrolled by Sammy Nanvaani, and Saahil Naanvaani.

It is worth mentioning here that Kollywood is also coming up with a biopic on yesteryear actress Silk Smitha. As per latest reports, Anasuya Bharadwaj will be essaying the role of the yesteryear actress in the biopic.

Milan Luthria had cast Vidya Balan in the role of Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture which was a blockbuster.
