Kannada TV Serial Geetha Hits A Century

There are several small screen actors and technicians who earned their bread from TV serials. When the production of television series came to a grinding halt following the lockdown, several workers working in TV productions got badly hit.

This included TV artistes, workers and technicians. A few Kannada serials including the famous director TN Seetharam's popular series Magalu Janaki (courtroom drama) was stopped midway due to the circumstances created by the pandemic.

With the Karnataka government recently giving a green signal to resume shooting of TV serials, a few serials have begun production and a few channels are airing fresh episodes.

The production of Kannada serial Geetha too had to be halted due to the COVID lockdown situation. The serial was being aired of Colors Kannada.

There were no fresh episodes of the series. The serial which only begun in January, had just started to get interesting when the lockdown stopped the serial. The TV channel was forced to air old episodes of the kannada serial Geetha during the lockdown phase.

Now, the serial has started airing fresh episodes and that's not it. Kannada serial Geetha has even hit a century. Featuring Bhavya Gowda and Dhanush Gowda in lead roles, the song is rendered by none other than legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam.

The crew recently celebrated the completion of 100 episodes with a cake cutting ceremony.

The upcoming episodes of Geetha promises to have twists and turns in store for the TV audience.
