Muthappa Rai Wrote About Biopic In His Will?

Controversies have erupted following the announcement of Sandalwood director Ravisrivatsa about the making of a biopic on the life of Muthappa Rai.

Muthappa Rai's family lawyer has come out with some startling revelations. Recently, Ravisrivatsa launched the movie by conducting the muhurat function of a movie named "MR" which is based on the life story of Muthappa Rai with Deekshith in the lead role.

But producer Padmanabh of "College Kumar" fame has said "We had announced earlier that we would do a movie on Muthappa Rai. I will be doing this movie under my banner in the coming days." Now, this controversy has taken one more turn.

Recently, Sandalwood producer Padmanabh had addressed a press meet. During the press meet, the family advocate of Muthappa Rai stated that Muthappa Rai who had written his will in the year 2019, had stated that whoever does cinema about me MUST take permission from my children Rocky Rai and Ricky Rai. Now, Ravi Srivatsa who is doing "MR" has not taken any permission from Rai's family. Hence it is wrong to do a movie about a person without taking the permission of his family. If anything is shown negatively about him, it will send out a wrong message to society.

If the movie is done without permission that will get into legal tangle. Further speaking about this Padmanabh has said "Many years ago Om Prakash Rao, SS David, K V Raju, Dinesh Baboo tried to do this movie but Muthappa Rai had not given his consent. Had he agreed the movie would have been over by now. He wanted this movie to be of high standards. I too have a desire to see that actors like Sudeep, or Darshan portrays his character. Hence I have decided to do this movie as desired by brother Rai. Now, I am telling this in advance so that Ravisrivatsa should not do this movie without permission and lose money!"

But Ravisrivatsa who spoke about this with the media said: "I have already launched the movie. I will shoot this movie. I have not taken permission from anyone. I am going to Bombay in this connection to prepare for the shooting. If at all there is a 'will' stating that I should have the permission let me see the will." It remains to be seen who will at last produce this movie.
