Odeya First Day Collection: Darshan Movie Off To A Good Start

Sandalwood actor Darshan's Odeya hit theatres on Thursday (December, 12). The movie is a faithful remake of the Tamil hit Veeram starring Ajith Kumar which was a blockbuster hit. While the Telugu remake featuring Pawan Kalyan titled Katamarayudu sank without a trace at the box office. How did the Kannada Version do on its first day?

As per trade analysts, Darshan's Odeya had full occupancy in most theatres where it was released. The family drama which is also a comedy is believed to have collected an estimated three crores at the box office on the first day of its theatrical run. The film was running to packed houses in most centres.

Odeya is directed by MD Sridhar and stars Darshan, Devaraj, Chitra Shenoy and Sadhu Kokila in key roles. Sana Thimmayya is making her Sandalwood debut in Odeya as the leading lady.
