Simran not starring in 'Chandramukhi 2'

Svelte heroine Simran Bagga, who was last seen along with Superstar Rajinikanth in one of her major releases ' Petta' recently has scotched speculations about her presence in P Vasu's sequel to the 2005 blockbuster ' Chandramukhi'.

While Rajinikanth is not replicating his role in the sequel, he seems to have been replaced by Lawrence who was on record to have sought the senior star's blessings for having taken up the role. Interestingly, it was Simran who was considered for the role in the first version but it was enacted by Jyothika.

This time around, Jyothika too had denied her continuation in the second part, while she opined that it would be apt if Simran was considered. However, the Punjabi star has refuted reports that she is acting in it, in one of her recent tweets.
