A Telugu actor who recently issued a controversial statement about late Kannada actor Sahasasimha Vishnuvardhan has drawn the wrath of Late Dr Vishnu fans.

Telugu actor Vijaya Rangaraju, who's known to play villain roles, had recently given an interview to a media in which he said that Vishnuvardhan had a phobia of women.

This statement of his has angered the fans of Vishnuvardhan and they have submitted a petition to the film chamber of commerce seeking justice. Elaborating on his statement, "I acted in a movie called "Muththaide Bhagya". When I went to the sets of this movie, Jaya Malini came and embraced me. Vishnuvardhan who was unhappy about this asked the director to send both of us out of the sets. When asked why, Vishnuvardhan said that he was getting disturbed. He had some weakness," thus stated the Telugu actor.

Vishnuvardhan is one of the most revered and talented actors in Sandalwood. Despite a decade after his sad demise, he still enjoys a huge fan following and his movies are spoken about to this date. Obviously, this needless reference to the late actor by a small time artiste has not gone down well with the Telugu actor.

Moreover, if one were to decode the incident that happened on the sets, we all know Vishnuvardhan was a highly disciplined professional who wished to keep to himself. He was a man of few words and would communicate with only those who were close to him. This nature was much loved by his fans. Perhaps the reserved nature of Vishnuvardhan came across as something else for the Telugu actor.

Either way, it is not right to comment on a person who no more exists in the world. Vishnu fans hope that the actor apologises for his mistake.
