Don't cut Vijay's role, Chiru to Sye Raa team

Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi, who has had an amazing five releases in a span of seven months which have received both critical and commercial acclaim, is now a well-known entity in Telugu cinema too.
Playing an important role in the forthcoming 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' in which megastar Chiranjeevi is playing the title character, the film was in the news of late when a fire broke out on the sets and caused minor damage to the property.
Scheduled to be released in October this year, as per recent reports is progressing briskly to meet the deadline.
Tamil media has been giving good coverage to this film, which is a multilingual venture as expected. It was reported that members of the film unit had felt that Sethupathi, who plays a Tamil-speaking character, Raja Paandi had more than enough footage in the film, which could be trimmed a little bit.
The report also added that Chiru disagreed to this observation and wanted it to remain the way it was given that Sethupathi is known for his standout, powerful performances which could add to the reach of the film.
Multiplexes across both the Telugu states were privy to a sustained crowd support for Sethupathi's latest film 'Super Deluxe', a Tamil film with dark undertones.
Playing a transgender role with a supporting family comprising his wife and son, it went on to be well received in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere. Sethupathi has, as of now, eight films under various stages of production, in which there is a Malayalam film 'Marconi Mathai' with which he makes his debut in that film industry.
He has also signed for yet another Telugu film. Having starred in nearly 30 films as of now in a career spanning less than a decade, Vijay Sethupathi rubbed shoulders with the Superstar Rajinikanth in the Sankranti release 'Petta' which was a rocking hit in Tamil.
It would be interesting to see the dazzle he brings onscreen when he is showcased soon in the Telugu film industry in an original flick.
The fate of this film at the BO should hopefully be a contrast to the success in politics ever since the big brother and megastar Chiranjeevi set foot in it in 2008, followed by two of his brothers Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu.
Yet, it has held on its own, with nearly a dozen-odd heroes from the extended family, launching various projects and tasting different levels of success at the BO in the same period.
