With the return of numero uno Pawan Kalyan, the equations in the big league are bound to change and disturb the existing ones. Superstar Mahesh Babu almost became number one with a slew of hits from 'Srimanthudu' to 'Sarileru….' and was having a dream run, but now he can't take things easy.

Just a few months ago, Prabhas's phenomenal rise across India with 'Saaho' catapulted him into the Top-5 league with more than Rs 200 crore business.

"No doubt, Pawan Kalyan was uncrowned box office king and his rivals heaved a sigh of relief when he entered politics. May be, they would have thought that he may not don the grease paint again.

But now equations will change as he is returning with not one but three movies. We have to expand the Top 5 league into Top 7 since Allu Arjun scored his first Rs 100 crore collections in TS and AP with 'Ala… Vaikuntapurramloo," says distributor Vamsi Kishore, who claims that Mahesh Babu almost replaced Pawan Kalyan in the two Telugu states as the next 'biggest crowd puller' in the last three years.

"Mahesh Babu was spinning box office magic and his films began to draw between Rs 60 to 80 crore net collections in Telugu states. It was just a matter of time before he could attain No 1 ranking. Now, he has to work even harder to give his old rival a run for his money," says Bharat Bushan.

Although Jr NTR and Ram Charan were among the top league actors, Allu Arjun was also gunning behind them with Rs 60 crore plus 'Sarrainodu' and now the trade experts have to re-draw the rankings and add few more names.

"Prabhas's career can be split into pre and post 'Bahubali' phase because he had meteoric rise after Rajamouli's epic fantasy. His last release 'Saaho' rocked the Hindi film viewers and made him a star among pan-India viewers.

If it had been a good script, he would have scored a blockbuster in two Telugu states as well. Hope, from next time onwards, he will pick strong scripts to unleash his box office prowess once again," says distributor Ramakrishna.

With the popularity of Tamil stars waning among the Telugu viewers as Raninian, Surya, Vikram and Dhanush having a tough time, it will be clash

between big Telugu stars in the days to come. Surely, the game is on

in Tollywood.
