Samantha's Sabbatical From Films, What's The Real Reason?

After the massive success of Ram Charan's Rangasthalam which also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sukumar is super busy with his next ambitious project Pushpa. The movie will simultaneously be released in 5 Indian languages including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi stars Stylish Star Allu Arjun in the lead role.

The first look of Bunny in Pushpa which the makers dropped on the birthday of the movie's lead actor was widely shared on social media. After that, expectations surrounding the movie skyrocketed.

A latest buzz doing the rounds about the movie suggests that the makers wanted to cast Samantha as the female lead in Pushpa. She is believed to have politely declined saying she really wanted a sabbatical from work for sometime. Later, the role went to Rashmika Mandanna who's basking in the glory of her recent hit Sarileru Neekevvaru starring Mahesh Babu.

Now, while fans are happy about Rashmika playing the female lead as this will be another new pairing Tollywood, people are wondering what made Sam reject the offer.

We all know that Samantha earned critical acclaim for her role in Rangasthalam and she is also comfortable working with Sukumar knowing how immensely talented the director is. This bit of rumour has even led people to wonder if Samantha is indeed pregnant or has she decided to focus on family for now?
