Young actor Sudheer Babu is reportedly planning to do the remake of Marathi film 'Happy Journey' which revolves around a middle-aged man (played by Atul Kulkarni) after years of shouldering family responsibilities, becomes distant from his family. However, he happens to meet Janaki, his sister, and the two set out on a road trip to rekindle their bonding.
"Sudheer Babu watched the movie and liked the novel concept but yet to sign on the dotted line," says a source, close to the unit. Actor-turned-producer Sudheer Babu did varied movies like 'Samanthakamani' and 'Sammohanam' and 'Nannu Dochukunduvate' in-between to push his stocks high and showcase his interest for different themes.
"He is game for variety and choosing films accordingly, without affecting his image," the source adds. On the other hand, the son-in-law of superstar Krishna is planning to produce more films in 2019, if he gets the right kind of scripts.
"Sudheer Babu will be producing on his own or jointly with the right partners. He has learnt the tricks of film production, so, he wants to pump in more money to boost his career," the source concludes. In fact, the actor himself claimed that he was forced to turn a producer as he wasn't paid remuneration he deserves.
