Suriya Follows Salman To Sandalwood, Soorarai Pottru To Mark His Kannada Debut

Suriya Sivakumar is a name to reckon with in Kollywood. His movies are often dubbed into Telugu and Malayalam too. So the face is familiar in the entire Southern film industry. Even though Sandalwood never allows other language movies to be dubbed into local language, Tamil movies by themselves do very well in the market, thanks to the patronage Kollywood enjoys in Karnataka. Also, due to the poor response to Kannada movies, Sandalwood had a no-dubbing rule all these days. But that has changed with Salman Khan's recent release Dabangg 3 which was dubbed into Kannada and also received a lot of positive response.Incidentally, Sandalwood top actor Kichcha Sudeep is seen in a prominent role in Dabangg 3. Audience and critics heaped praises on Sudeep for his mindblowing performance.

Now, another movie will be dubbed into Kannada. Moviebuffs are familiar with Kollywood actor Suriya's much talked about movie Soorarai Pottru. Now, the buzz is that the Kannada version of this Tamil flick will mark Suriya's debut in Sandalwood.

This bit of news must come as music to the ears of his fans in Karnataka who were waiting to see their idol mouth a few lines in their local lingo.
