Tamannaah demands 4 crore pay?

Glam diva Tamannaah seems to be a on a new high these days. After sharing screen space with Venkatesh in 'F2' and Chiranjeevi in 'Sye Raa…..', the actress has reportedly jacked up her remuneration. "Tamannaah demanded Rs 4 crore remuneration to romance Balakrishna on screen in director Boyapati's much-hyped movie," says a source, close to the unit and adds, "Boyapati wanted to rope in a big actress and discussed with Tamannaah's parents but they shocked him by quoting an exorbitant sum," the source adds.

Usually, 'Bahubali' diva charges anywhere between Rs 1.5 to 1.75 crore per film, but this time she pushed her pay to new heights. "After big hits, actresses tend to jack up their remuneration by Rs 30 or 40 lakh but Tamannaah has quoted a fancy sum which producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy was reluctant to pay. Finally they signed Tamil and Telugu actress Anjali for the same role," the source points out.

Interestingly, dusky actress Nayantara pocketed Rs 4 crore to play the wife of Chiranjeevi in 'Sye Raa…' and now Tamannaah has matched her senior colleague with her whopping demand. "Tamannaah has to re-check her strategy since Telugu producers don't pay more than Rs 2 crore for a A-lister, that to opposite a star like Balakrishna, before it is too late," the source concludes.
