Many might have been surprised how all of a sudden we get such a sad news that wife of Superstar Krishna is no more.
Many might have been surprised how all of a sudden we get such a sad news that wife of Superstar Krishna is no more. She was wife of Krishna but she was more than that. She died at Continental Hospital, Gachibowli, Hyderbad. Her age was 73 years.
Her list of accomplishments do not start and end at she getting married to Krishna, who was already married. Or they don't stop at being a Guinness Record Holder for being able to make most movies as a woman director.
She got a chance to act at an age of 7 in Tamil films and impressed none other than NTR to find Lord Krishna's role in his Panduranga Mahatyam. She did not fear him when everyone were terrified and NTR himself corrected her make-up for the first shot.
She was smitten by glamour field and found acting and film industry as her passion later. She made debut as a character actor after being popular as child artist. She became sister of ANR and the movie became her big hit.
But she settled as an actress when Krishna came along as she could make best pairing on screen with him. She even acted as ANR and NTR's love interest in successful films but besides Krishna, the chemistry was magic.
She wanted to direct, act and produce as well. But she had to lead life as single mother due to divorce. Still she never really tried to ask help of any person. She got attracted to good nature of Krishna and they both got married, with first wife of Krishna's agreement.
She got attached to him so much that she never left his side for even a minute. For her desire to become a director she kept observing best in the Business like KV Reddy and changed a technique when she started, Meena, her first film. Even though Krishna had his own banner, Padmalaya, she wanted to make her films on Vijaya Krishna only.
Meena her 100th film as an actress and first film as a director became the film that was shot non-linear that is actors were asked finish their lines in a scene first then going chronologically. This she claimed to save time. When many doubted she could even complete a film, she delivered a tremendous success.
She and Krishna continued to make movies as a pair and even as actor-director pair. She wanted to make Devadas story, Krishna acted as the lead. She wanted to direct more films than any person and Krishna encouraged her.
Before she could impress Telugu directors, she won awards in Malayalam and that propelled her career in Tamil, Telugu films. Vijayashanthi, who became the face of lady oriented movies in TFI in 90's got inspiration from Vijayanirmala's dare devil decisions. Jayasudha is a distant relative to her family.
She always wanted to direct NTR, ANR after doning the director's hat and got her wish by directing ANR in Guru Sishyulu. She broke the impression that Lady director can only make family movies by doing all kinds of genres with Krishna and out of 44 films, she directed more than 56% of the films are hits.
A person who is known doing only things that made her comfortable and in her style, she had issues with several people in Industry but never disrespected them in public and never allowed anyone to disrespect her too. Her career should be celebrated further as it is a great example for women to aspire and achieve under the sun, they wish with persistence and grit.
