With Modern Family Ending, here are Some Spin-Offs We Would Love to See

Every time an amazing show comes to an end, fans immediately want to know if they can expect a spin-off with some of their favorite characters. And now that the decade long comedy series, Modern Family is wrapping up with its finale season this year, one wonders if we get to see more of them. As the fans say goodbye to the Dunphy-Pritchet-Tucker family, here's a look at some of the possible spin-offs we can expect… or rather hope.

1. Cam, Mitchell and their chums

How can we forget the many friends that Cam and Mitchell have? They all have some unique characteristics which can surely be made into something hilarious. Be it Pepper, Crispin, Sal, Ronaldo, and Longines, they are always fun appearances on the show. A spin-off based on their friendship would be surely a fun watch. Away from the standard FRIENDS and HIMYM like, this one would see same-sex couples raising families.

2. Gloria and her crazy family

Played by Sofia Vergara, Gloria soon after the launch of the show, became a household name and easily qualifies to be the fan-favorite. Outside of the Pritchetts, she has a huge crazy family living in Colombia. We all know her sister's side of the story too, that her mother is insufferable and that she has a good-for-nothing ex-husband. There could be so much more to her side of the story! How she managed to meet Jay Pritchett, how and why she left her family back home. There's so much to build upon.

3. Phil Dunphy! Yes, he deserves it.

THE funniest character on the show, Phil Dunphy, the goofy dad who tries his level best to be a goof husband, best father, and a great human to be around in general. This character gives us father goals and surely some great tips on magic. He is the one who takes his job very seriously – as a realtor. What we can see here is probably that he quits his job and goes on to give a try to becoming a magician.

4. All Eyes on Haley and Dylan

For 11 years, we've had the pleasure of watching Haley and Dylan's romance blossom. It went from strength to strength and by the very end, they are a happily married couple with their little family. Both characters had to grow and mature separately, to get it right. This on-again and off-again couple, now with their twin daughters surely deserve a show that will follow their lives as they struggle to raise kids holding down good jobs while also handling their own lives. And maybe they will move out of the Dunphy household and give it a try to make it on their own. Can you not totally see that happening?

5. Early years of Claire and Mitchell!

One spin-off we will surely enjoy will be the early years of the Pritchett family. Can you imagine Claire and Mitchell as kids? Which is exactly what the show could be about. Jay as a dad to teenage Mitchell, who would be struggling to understand his sexual orientation. And what about Jay and Dede? Were they as crazy together as they are now? How did they raise these two lovelies and how did they end up separating?
