Just In
There are two things we Indians carry on our sleeves with gleaming smile and pride that is Bollywood and Cricket. The World Cup season of cricket is upon us and we are all ready to get together and scream our lungs out for team India when they are out to play. Empty streets, nail-biting moments and loud cheers will become the norm every time the Indian men's cricket team is out to play this world cup while we sport the Indian jersey to show our support to the team.
The Cricket World Cup gives us a sense of pride and patriotism and wearing the jersey shows everyone that you are rooting for the home team and a feeling of camaraderie with other fans. There's no stopping the curiosity of fans, ever since the news of the team donning an orange-dominated jersey came out which means Indian Cricket Team will be adoring orange for a few matches instead of the normal blue in this World Cup. Wearing the Indian team blue or orange can be a lot of fun, however, it's not always the easiest clothing item to wear with flair. Learning how to dress up in our new jersey to cheer up our team is a skill that everyone should master and here are few ways to sport the Indian jersey.
Classic
You can style the Indian Jersey with a cool mini skirt and ankle boots; the look is easy and comfortable. Wear your jersey in a conventional way untucked over trousers add towering heels for that upmarket look. Wear your favourite sneakers with Jersey and contrasting skirt, which is another classic style that is tried and tested. Try colour coordination for a polished look. Our new orange jersey can be coordinated with a living coral jegging or high waisted pants with nude heels.
Sporty
Double down on athletic gear and style your jersey with classic kicks, tube socks, and a backward hat. Shorts tend to dress-down an outfit, which can be great if you're going out to watch the game. Any kind of shorts works, from cargo and capris to short shorts. Alternatively, go all-out sporty with sneakers and sporty shorts or pants.
Chic
Cropped pants and heels elevate the jersey. Polish the look and stay warm with a turtleneck underneath. It can bring a bit of sophistication to the look and help keep you warm! Try a shearling jacket over it all to help bring it all together. Pair the jersey with a polished plaid skirt and statement shoes or tuck the jersey into a pair of high-waisted pants. Both options will amp up your look.
Experimental
Throw a blazer over it and suddenly it's a polished look. It's an unexpected combination to wear jersey plus pencil skirt, that makes this look work. It's a little bit office, a little bit street.
Accentuate with accessories
Add a structured hat with a brim to downplay the sporty look. To make your look seem a bit more glamorous or dapper, add a non-sport hat. Think fedora or something similar and gives your jersey outfit a boost with fancy shoes. You may want a pair of skin-tight pants to go with the jersey. In that case, try a pair of slim boots or strappy high heels. Alternatively, if you want to wear loafers, try tucking a tight-fitting jersey into dress pants. Pop on a pair of sunglasses for added chic. Nothing says sophistication quite like the perfect pair of sunglasses. Plus, if you'll be outside, they'll offer some protection from the sun, keeping your eyes safe.
