Superbottoms hosts the Great Cloth Diaper Change event at 13 cities across India
New Delhi: India's No 1 eco-friendly cloth diaper brand, Superbottoms, successfully conducted an eco-friendly drive this Saturday across 13 cities including Delhi ,Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai,Bangalore where more than 450 babies were switched from a disposable diaper to environment-friendly cloth diapers in one go. The brand attempted to set a new record for the largest simultaneous change to reusable cloth diapers at the 'Great Cloth Diaper Change 'event of which it hosted the India chapter. Overall across 13 cities in India, more than 1000 parents attended the event.
The 'Great Cloth Diaper Change' event is a part of the global revolution to celebrate Earth Day which falls on 22nd April with a goal to generate awareness about eco-friendly and sustainable diapers for babies. The event saw more than 5000 eco-conscious parents across 50 countries including India, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, England, Finland, Japan, Mexico, Panama, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, South Africa, USA switch to reusable modern cloth diapers in one go. On 27th April, at 11 am sharp, parents across 13 cities of India including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore made a pledge to go sustainable in their diapering practices for the baby by changing the diapers of their babies from environmentally harmful disposable ones to reusable cloth diapers at the venues.
Speaking on the occasion, Pallavi Utagi, Founder, Superbottoms says "Eco-friendly diapers are the need of the hour as they are safe for the babies and also do not harm our environment when compared to disposable alternatives. Every disposable diaper stays on the planet for more 500 years. It is the need of the hour to look for an alternative option which is environment-friendly. As Indians, we are already aware of the benefits of the traditional 'langot' which is used even today. Cloth diapers bring the benefits of a langot and at the same time, have great absorption levels, making them super convenient and absorbent, like a disposable diaper."
"The Great Diaper Change is a global initiative and Superbottoms is proud to represent its India chapter. We aim to bring awareness and spread forth the advantages of using cloth diapers for babies through this event. The response from mothers has been overwhelming and has reinstated our faith in the product category. Thousands of parents have adopted cloth diapering, many of them even exclusively as well and our Facebook group called Superbottoms Family which has 11000+ members is representative of the fact that the parents are proud of their pro-Earth and pro-baby modern diapering choice.", she further added
In contrast to the disposable diapers, modern cloth diapers are great for the baby's skin and are extremely eco-friendly and economical on the pocket owing to their reusability quotient. With a unique dry-feel layer and long hours absorbency, they are just as great in performance too and match the convenience of using a disposable diaper. Superbottoms Cloth Diapers are made of GOTS certified 100% organic cotton and is India's 1st Safety Tested Cloth Diaper brand as per US safety standards
