Hyderabad: 'The sketchers share the stories behind their drawings as well as the tools - sometimes as little as a pencil and napkin - and tips also' said Jagdish, Architect, Hyderabad. He was the main resource person for sketching workshop at School of Architecture (SoA) of GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad on Thursday. In the one-day workshop, he has shown many sketchers of his own and explained how to bring an idea into a form of sketch.

'Sketching is always a unique thing. Whenever you are creating something, it has to evolve. You have to think and produce the idea and create the output. Recreate the rough sketches and reproduce the final output' Jagdish said. He stressed about observation, which is a best quality of a budding architect. Observation is a very key concept in sketching and if you observe something clearly, you can sketch it properly, he told. He made it clear that hand movement comes from the practice and advised to transform the sketch in their own way. Jagdish advised the budding architects that they have to allow their mind for free sketching and tend five mantras: explore, experiment, experience, evolve and engage. Earlier, Prof G Sunil Kumar, Director, SoA welcomed the guest and introduced him to the students. SoA faculty and students participated in this day long workshop.
