The Youth Parliament Programme’s 3-day leadership boot camp (by Swatantrata) was completed successfully on Sunday evening with immersive responses from delegates.
Hyderabad: The Youth Parliament Programme's 3-day leadership boot camp (by Swatantrata) was completed successfully on Sunday evening with immersive responses from delegates . In this session, Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan of Loksatta , Swami Bodhamayananda of the Ramakrishna math , Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and others spoke at the leadership bootcamp organised by Youth Parliament Program at VNR Vignan Jyothi college.
Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan spoke about liberalism. He said " any policy should address three things - freedom, growth and opportunity. In a political sense liberty means decentralisation. In a social sense - liberty means equality of opportunity and equality of treatment. Only with decentralisation, we will be able to reap the benefits of major policies".
Amit Chandra from Delhi who works on education policy design talked on Education System in India and felt the need for many improvements and said new policies are needed to be implemented in Indian educational system.
Swami Bodhamayananda from the Institute of Human Excellence of the Ramakrishna Math stressed on the importance of integrity and developing inner strength to take up activities which add value to society. He quoted examples of Verghese Kurian who brought the White Revolution and M.S Swaminathan and others who were responsible for Green Revolution "They were not only moved by India's problems but also came up with solutions within their capacity". He requested the participants to be focused on work despite hurdles and asked to engage in sports and cultural activities.
Konda Vishweshwar Reddy talked about importance of providing internship opportunities to students at young age so that they will be able to explore career options and understand the opportunities in the market. He said that "the biggest challenge that governments are facing now is providing quality education and equal opportunities to every child irrespective of the accident of birth". General secretary of youth parliament program Raghavendar Askani , Manger Ranjith Kumar Duguntla spoke on the need for building leaders to build the country among others who spoke at the event.
