B Tech admission opens at SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai

Chennai: SRM Institute of Science and Technology announced the opening of online application for B. Tech. degree program in the faculty of Engineering and Technology for all its campuses. The last date for submitting application for all B.Tech streams through SRM Joint Entrance Examination Engineering (SRMJEEE) will be held on 30 March 2020.

The admission process will be common for Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, and Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad campuses of SRM Institute of Science & Technology, SRM University Delhi-NCR Sonepat and SRM University, Amaravati. SRMJEEE 2020 is mandatory for the applicant to join the B.Tech Program.

SRMJEEE is a Computer Based Test conducted across India in 127 centres and a few centres in Middle East countries, from April 12-20, 2020. Indians and Non-Resident Indians can apply for SRMJEEE 2020. NRI candidates who qualify in SRMJEEE 2020 and compete with the domestic candidates through the regular counseling process will get a 35% scholarship on the tuition fee applicable for international students, for all four years. They also have an option to directly apply under the International admission category by paying the international tuition fee and get admission to any program/campus without taking SRMJEEE.

Printed OMR applications are available in post offices (the list of post offices is available on the website). The first few applications were issued by Founder-Chancellor of SRMIST, Dr. TR Paarivendhar. Students received them in the presence of K. Vijaya, Superintendent of Post offices, Chengalpattu Postal Division; G. Ramamoorthi, Marketing Executive, Chengalpattu Postal Division; D Manikandan, Inspector posts Madurantakam Sub Division, V. Pradeepkumar (Business Development) wing. SRMIST's Registrar Dr. N Sethuraman, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sandeep Sancheti, Finance Director M. Balasubramanian and Director Admissions Dr. K Manivannan were also present on the occasion.

The online application is available at https://applications.srmist.edu.in. Every year SRM gets an overwhelming response. Last year, B.Tech witnessed over 1,50,000 students applying with complete geographic, cultural, and socio-economic representation from all parts of India and from countries over the world.
