The cultural fiesta for Pre - Primary and Classes 1 and 2 titled "The Secrets of Life' commenced at 10 am with a vibrant display of talent that mesmerised the audience.
The chief guest, A Bhaskar, Addl. DCP, graced the occasion and in his inaugural address he articulated that art and artistic endeavors should be facilitated for societal redemption and good values need to be imbibed through quality education.
The tiny tots of Pre - Primary and Classes 1 & 2beautifully showcased 'The Secret of Life' by depicting Happiness, Optimism, Passion, Determination, Gratitude, Kindness and a Never Give Up attitude through dances and a Hindi skit. It was a perfect ode to Thanksgiving Day that coincidently was on the same day as our Annual Day.
This was followed by the 2nd cultural extravaganza in the afternoon by students of classes 3 to 7. Pomp and splendor accorded honour to the theme, "Chrysalis - The Change". A resplendent display of art, music, dance, and drama ensured a spectacular event with vibrant and energetic performances by the students.
A host of eminent dignitaries were present on the auspicious occasion to boost the morale of the students. The 2nd chief guest for the day was Mr. Swaranjit Sen, Ex-DGP –Hyderabad. The Guests of Honour were Mr. Vinay Chand, Joint Commissioner of Forest Department and Mr. Kiran, PhD, Dept. of Radiology, Winston University.
The program flagged off with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome dance and song. Principal, Mrs. Sunitha Rao formally welcomed the guests and introduced the Chief Guest to the august gathering. Mrs. Nandita, Vice-Principal (DPS Nacharam), Kiran Khanna, Vice-Principal (DPS Nadergul) and Mrs. Saritha, Admin Head (DPSNacharam) graced the event.
The guests immensely appreciated the school for being a premier institution providing quality education along with a vast array of co-curricular activities.
TheChief Guest advised the students to dream big and pursue with perseverance and discipline. The program proceeded with Head Mistress, Neetu Gupta Puri who presented the school's annual report, highlighting the landmarks of the previous academic year.
The event witnessed awe-inspiring performances by students who presented an ensemble of colorful dances from tribal to classical to western dance forms. The 7 classical dance forms medley performance was a masterpiece in itself. The western group dances were a treat to the eyes.
An array of cultural pieces included Mime, a grand fashion show titled –'The Magic of life' showcasing the Arabian Nights' Tale of Aladdin, humorous and engaging Hindi skits "Bhasmasur Chaknachoor", "PedonKa Mahatav" and mellifluous songs. The show stoppers were the "Guleba" dance performance by Class 2 students and a dance ballad on Women Empowerment titled 'Rise and Shine' by Class 3 to 7 students.
These two performances left the audience spellbound and asking for more. The programme was artistically designed and visually stunning. The evening came to a befitting close with elated and proud parents leaving the venue with a great sense of satisfaction that their wards are in the best hands and being well-groomed to be multi-talented,global citizens who can confidently face the challenges of the world.
