Edureka launches Hindi and Telugu YouTube channels
Launches initiative to upskill IT professionals and students from smaller towns and cities
Hyderabad: India is home to a staggering 4.5M IT professionals, out of which 1.5 – 2M individuals will be required to reskill in the next 4-5 years to bridge the talent gap in emerging technologies.
While most technology courses online and in universities cater to an English-speaking talent pool, there exists a significant section of the workforce that is more comfortable to learn in their mother tongue.
This is where Edureka, a global e-learning platform for trending technologies aims to make a difference by helping IT professionals and students reskill in their native language. With an existing learner community of 8,00,000 where a significant number of learners hail from smaller towns and cities, ensuring quality content for professionals from regional speaking backgrounds is an immediate goal for Edureka.
"With this initiative, we aim to bridge the language gap and promote an environment of continuous learning. Most Indians can speak and understand English but when it comes to learning, the conceptual clarity that is delivered in regional languages is extraordinary. Our YouTube channel which hosts detailed tutorials on trending technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Blockchain etc. has already acquired 8 lakhs plus followers.
We hope to use this popularity and internet accessibility to make quality tech training available to all. Vernacular learning content has been a long pending demand from our learners and with these YouTube channels, we are now able to share regional language videos on hot technologies such as Python programming, DevOps and Ethical Hacking etc. which are otherwise not available in these languages," Vineet added.
