Fellowship programme shows new ways of learning
Toppr, India’s most advanced and comprehensive mobile application for personalised learning, conducted the city-level round of Toppr Fellowship Programme in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: Toppr, India's most advanced and comprehensive mobile application for personalised learning, conducted the city-level round of Toppr Fellowship Programme in Hyderabad. This year, 50 students from the city participated in the programme. Nationally, the second edition of Toppr Fellowship Programme saw around 7 lakh students participating from over 1400 schools. In Hyderabad, the scholarship test was conducted at Toppr Learning Planet, a stem education centre located in Himayat Nagar, Hyderabad.
Toppr Fellowship Programme, which comprises Toppr Fellowship Test, Toppr Fellowship Seminar and Toppr Fellowship Counselling, is designed to help students of Grades 5 to 12 understand their strengths and weaknesses and show them a new engaging way to learn. Curated by top teachers of India, the Toppr Fellowship Test is a 30-minute test that identifies students' conceptual understanding, numerical abilities and problem-solving skills. Their performance is then evaluated and analysed by subject experts.
Students who ace the Toppr Fellowship Test at the school-level and city-level will receive a Toppr scholarship worth Rs 50,000 and Rs 1,00,000 respectively; whereas national-level winners will get the golden chance to visit NASA with a guardian. All the participants will also be awarded with a 30% scholarship on Toppr. The city-level winners will be announced in March, and the national finale will be conducted in April.
Commenting on the initiative, Zishaan Hayath, CEO, Toppr, said, "India has hundreds and thousands of academically gifted students, but they are not always recognized on a national level. The overarching idea behind Toppr Fellowship Programme was to identify these extraordinary students and help them further their skills and abilities. This also helps students to view various career paths, based on their individual strengths, weaknesses, and interests."
Toppr offers high-quality, engaging educational content for students from Class 5 to Class 12. This includes test series, question banks, chats for solving doubts, mock tests and preparation for entrance exams in engineering, medicine, law and chartered accountancy.
Toppr boasts of being the first EdTech platform to launch a dedicated 24x7 Doubts helpline, resolving 2 million doubts till date. Last year, the Toppr Fellowship Programme was conducted across 600+ schools in 20 cities, with 3.5 lakh students taking the test. 1,500 students won Toppr scholarships worth Rs 10 crore.
