Students can immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of US cities starting September 22

Hyderabad: Starting September 22, the GRE Programme is bringing US city life to Hyderabad, showcasing features of New York, California and Texas through a brand-new immersive experience. Students thinking about studying abroad in the United States can stop by to learn about each of the three locales, as well as learn more about the GRE® General Test. The mobile experience will be in Hyderabad for one week starting at the Forum Mall on September 22 followed by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University on September 24. "This interactive experience is designed to give Indian students a feel for life in major US. locales," said Alberto Acereda, Executive Director of the GRE Programme. "The U.S. is a worthwhile destination for graduate studies, and the more information that students have about the entire study-abroad experience —like taking the GRE General Test and cultural highlights in different areas of the country — the better."

Based on the most popular locations for GRE test takers in India, students can expect to get a firsthand taste and feel of the American way of life with some of its unmistakable symbols. Students can listen to country music, enjoy a slice of New York style pizza, sit on the big apple, and even relax on the beach in Malibu, California. The experience will also feature testimonials from students who have taken the GRE General Test and received a business degree abroad.

"Indian students are the second-largest foreign nationality studying in the U.S., making India an important market for the GRE Programme," added Acereda. "More importantly, making the decision to pursue a graduate, business or law degree abroad is a big decision, and providing students with access to as much information as possible is important during this critical time."

Students who are ready can register on site for the GRE General Test. In addition to an information booth, GRE brand ambassadors will be on site to speak with students. This event will provide students who are interested in pursuing graduate studies abroad with as much information as possible, including about the various other destinations that accept GRE scores. The GRE General Test is accepted at thousands of graduate schools, including more than 1,300 business schools for MBA, specialised master's and other graduate business Programmes, in the United States and beyond.
