Hyderabad: CBSE science exhibition held on sustainable development
DAV Public School, SafilGuda, Hyderabad has been assigned the prestigious task of hosting the Regional level science exhibition, 2019 -20. The theme of the exhibition is ‘Science and technology for sustainable development with a thrust on water conservation’.

The two-day event is being held at the school premises on November 25-26. The exhibition has a participation of 360 nascent scientists from 110 CBSE schools across Telangana. The total number of exhibits are 179, ranging from Sustainable Agricultural Practices, Cleanliness, Resource Management, Industrial Development, Educational Games and Mathematical Modelling and Future Transport and Communication.
The guests for the event were K Srinivasan, Regional Officer, CBSE- Chennai Region and Dr W G Prasanna Kumar, Chairman, Mahatma Gandhi National Council and Rural Education (MGNCRE).
K Srinivasan in his address focused on how this kind of events will serve as launch pads for students, bringing forth their latent talent and nurturing them to scale great heights in conquering the world and serving mankind.
Dr. Prasanna Kumar in his address to the vibrant gathering, laid emphasis on conservation of water which is a reflection of an individual's character and how art is but an extension of science put across in an aesthetic manner. He also insisted upon the fact that, they being selected for such a prestigious event stands as a testimony of their ability, which definitely was a motivating factor for the millinieal Aryabhattas, Bhaskaracharyas and Charaks all blessed with fertile minds abound with bountiful imagination and garnished with awe-inspiring scientific temperament.
The Principal of the host school, K Parthipan, who has been the propulsive force behind the whole event insisted upon schools providing an atmosphere of comprehensive and all- inclusive learning which will serve as a passport for the students' scaling unimaginable heights.
The observer for the event was Rama Devi, Principal, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Public School, Jubilee Hills. The event also had a host of Principals from various CBSE schools across the twin cities, along with a panel of six illustrious judges chosen by the CBSE, all acclaimed and celebrated in their respective fields.
The event took off to a scintillating start, with the guests being accorded a ceremonial and befitting welcome, by the Principal of the host school, K Parthipan and other important members of the school management. After a very brief cultural extravaganza, the guests along with the observer and the panel of judges went ahead with the assessment of the expositions. Elaborate arrangements were made by the host school for the smooth conduct of the event.
