Hyderabad: A rainbow of colours unfurled on the stage as Manipal International School celebrated its first Annual Function 'CELESTA 2020' on Sunday at its school campus with spell-binding cultural programme that included Dance Drama, MJ Dance, Angel Dance, Telugu Dance Drama, Folk Dance, Semi-Classical Dance, Fusion Dance, Group Motivational and Patriotic Song.

Padmashri Mukesh Kumar, the former captain of Indian Hockey team was the Chief Guest, and Guest of Honors were M.M Sheriff, President Manipal Academy of Health and Education, Masineni Ramaiah, Director of Manipal International School, Anantapur and Sudhakar Pai, Chairman Manipal Academy of Health and Education accompanied by Syed Baji Vice President – Operations – MAHE and Hari Reddy Vice President – Academics.

The chief-guest of the occasion Mukesh Kumar highly appreciated the talent showcased by the students through various cultural shows depicting the multidimensional Indian culture. He encouraged the students to be disciplined and to grab this opportunity for becoming responsible citizens of India.

In his presidential address, M M Sheriff, President, Manipal Academy of Health and Education and Chairman Mr. Sudhakar Pai spoke high of the vision and mission of the School.

Cultural programme by students this year showcased their talent by means of group song, skit, thematic dance performances etc. A musical performance by students singing the song 'Believers" motivated the entire audience. Academic Principal of the School Suma Kumar presented the Annual Report of the school and highlighted the school's progress in academic and non-academic areas. The chief guest gave the prizes to the meritorious students who had excelled in academics and various competitions held at School, District and National Level. Vote of thanks was presented by Sohail Shaik (Head Boy).
