Saveetha school Of Law was declared as the Winners of 1st Amity National Moot Court Competition, 2019 organised by Amity School Of Law, Amity University, Chhattisgarh between November 15-17.

Hyderabad: Saveetha school Of Law was declared as the Winners of 1st Amity National Moot Court Competition, 2019 organised by Amity School Of Law, Amity University, Chhattisgarh between November 15-17.

26 colleges participated from all over India. The team comprising Suba Yoga. S, Madhu Balaaji S and Rangeela. R.P represented Saveetha school Of Law and qualified as one of the top 8 teams out of 26 teams in Prelims. The team qualified for quarterfinals in the knock-out basis against NLU Bhopal and in semi-finals they faced RGNLU Patiala in which they won in knock out round and qualified to Finals by securing first mark in semi-finals out of 4 teams.

In finals they faced Christ University which was adjudged by the sitting High court Judges of Chhattisgarh and Patna and Additional advocate General of Patna and Chhattisgarh. They secured 666 where the opponents scored 641 and won the first edition of Amity National Moot Court competition, 2019.

The arguments in the final round was heard by the former Chief Justice of India Justice Dipak Misra and the valedictory ceremony was graced by him, The team also received cash award of Rs. 50,000 along with trophy and SCC subscription for 1 year.
