Hyderabad: The Annual student-led conference and exhibition aptly titled as 'Curio City' by the students of grades I to VII was held at Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills on Saturday to celebrate the students' creativity and to give them a platform to showcase their innate talent. The exhibition was held to promote and develop the intrinsic flair and aptitude of the learners in their interest areas.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the chief guest Col Manoj with many other dignitaries who graced the occasion. The school principal Sunitha Rao was also present to encourage, motivate and appreciate the beautiful and innovative work displayed by the young learners.
As rightly said, 'Sometimes the littlest voices have the biggest things to say.' The young DPSiites with their teachers set up a system of learning stations as varied as science and technology to arts and math to languages. Students were encouraged to think critically about their own abilities and achievements, thus honing and developing their skills.
The students' creativity and their talents were portrayed through the medium of art, engineering, models and sculpture. The exhibits, to name a few, reflected diverse themes like vertical gardens, food for health, animal world, planets, housing and clothing and seasons. The language departments showcased role plays, puppetry, monologues, performance poetry, vocabulary parade and plethora of activities.
Young minds of the Middle School displayed still models, working models, charts and posters to present their topics. Rooms depicting the space station, herbal garden, models of land forms, mathematical concepts like Pythagorean rules, golden pie ratio, and robotics lab were interesting to visit. Each corridor reflected deep and holistic learning that takes place in the portals of the school.
Watching and hearing their little ones speak, demonstrate and explain the learning that has occurred throughout the year was one of the most inspiring and proud moment for the parents, who had turned up in large numbers. The exhibition was a huge success. Enthusiasm and effervescence overflowed amongst students, their teachers and parents.
