India with its median population age of 29 year has to create opportunities rather waiting for someone to present it.

For this to happen the culture of Innovation and Enterprenuership has to be imbibed in to our country's youth in general and engineering students in particular, remarked the chief guest, Prof.

Venkat Ramana, Vice- Chairman of Telangana State Council for Higher Education.

He also informed that State Council is determined to promote innovation not only in urban areas but also in various districts of the Telagana state.

He informed the gathering that very shortly State Council will conduct a competition in the regard for the students of various parts of the state of telangana.

He was greatly impressed by the efforts being made by SNIST and the response students in the area of innovation are to be emulated by other engineering institutions in the state.

He was particularly happy that students of SNIST have participated in international competitions and also in the competitions conducted by The Indus Enterprenuers (TiE), which has its head office in silicon valley in which about 5000 students of Telangana State have participated.

Four student teams with their innovative ideas participated at the "2019 Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition" held at Bangkok, Thailand of which two entries won Gold Medals and other two won Silver medal at the competition besides a special Innovation Award was given by Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association.

In recently held TiE Grad Business Idea competition one of the student team innovative idea won "Best Innovative Idea" with cash prize award of Rs. 1 Lakh.

All the awardees were felicitated by the Chief Guest and also all distinguished functionaries of TiE Hyderabad Chapter – P Phani, Executive Director Tie Hyderabad Chapter, Subba Raju Board Member, Bhanu Prakash Steering Committee Member, Bhat Dittakavi – Industry Mentor for SNIST team have participated and encouraged the students to have innovation mindset.

They wanted the institutions to transform the learning mindset of student who joined the college to innovation mindset during the period of study.

The Director of SNIST, Dr P Narasimha Reddy has appreciated the efforts made by the professors of the college in transforming the students to think differently and making them to come forward to try as to how some innovations can be developed for technological growth and societal betterment.

The efforts of the institutions mentors are enormous and the Ministry of MSME GOI giving the recognition to SNIST as Host Institute to Support Student Business Incubation.

He appreciated particularly the efforts of Prof.

Ameet Chavan and Prof. A Subhananda Rao who spared no efforts for encouraging the incubation activity in SNIST. They also spoke on the occasion.
