Investiture Ceremony held at Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills

Hyderabad: The Investiture Ceremony of DPS, Mahendra Hills (feeder school of DPS Nacharam) for the academic session 2019-20 was held on Saturday in a distinctive ceremony at the school premises with a high degree of passion, earnestness and fervor.

The event was presided over by Honorable Chief Guests Kalmeshwar Shingenavar - IPS and DCP North Zone, Colonel P. Hani - Sena Medal HOD Computer Systems MCEME, Guests of Honour Mohan Rao, Laxmi Bai, Saraswati, Chairman M. Komaraiah, Director Pallavi, Principal Sunita Rao and Head Mistress Neetu Gupta. The dignitaries present took the Guard of Honour.

The student council members who were elected by the students through online nominations and online voting were administered oath and were bestowed badges and sashes. 122 students from Scouts and Guides were also administered the oath.

The newly elected student council members of the entire school pledged to work solemnly and live up to the school motto – "Service before self", with the best of their gusto, character and competence. The Head boy Bhavya and Head girl Aashna shared their thoughts in their maiden speech upon taking up this valued responsibility.

Young leaders Aditya and Daksh from Class 2 and Pre Primary addressed the august gathering. The office bearers were encouraged by an inspirational speech by our chief guests who emphasised on leadership and the need to have social and environmental awareness. The event also saw the release of the school magazine Zephyr. A music CD "Choraleasia" helmed by the music teacher Edward and performed by the school choir was also released.

DPS, Nadergul: The Investiture Ceremony of Delhi Public School for the academic session 2019-20 was held with great pomp and dignity in a special ceremony on the school ground. The event was presided over by Saroj Kant Mallick, the DIG of National Industrial Security Academy, Hakimpet, the chairperson of ZPTC, Dr.Anitha Teegala, Subhajit Saha, the Director& Head of CII at Hyderabad. Jaya Baheti, an artist by profession, Malka Komaraiah, the chairman of Delhi Public School, Padma Jyoti Turaga, the school Principal and Kiran Khanna, the school Vice Principal were in attendance.

It was conducted with a high degree of earnestness and passion. The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. It commenced with the demonstration of Mass Yoga and Aerobics by the students of Grade 5 & 6 followed by the School Flag hoisting ceremony and school song that instilled within the students the motto of the school 'Service before Self'. The theme song was a boisterous parody put forth by the school choir.

The well co-ordinated march past was a feast to the eyes and ears, when coupled with stirring marching music. All the houses of Delhi Public School, Nadergul namely Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Topaz along with the ecstatic DPS Chargers and Green Crusaders troop and newly elected student council marched with pride. It was a moment of immense pride for the school as the students of Delhi Public School, Nadergul had the privilege to share the Marching ground with Army 125 TA Battalion the Guards- led by the band major Nayak Ravi Teja.

The School is also initiating NCC for the first time to foster the spirit of nationalism in the young minds and with a view to widen the career prospects towards serving the nation through Army, Navy and Airforce. The inauguration of the art gallery of the school by Ms. Jaya Bahetiwas one of the masterpieces of todays'event. The elected Leaders' profile was enunciated. They were conferred with badges and sashes by Honourable Chief Guests.
