JNTU-H bags Overall Championship Award

Hyderabad: KNR University of Health NSS Cell organised 2-day Telangana State NSS Youth Festival on Mar 7-8 at Kakatiya Medical College Warangal. All the Universities in the state of Telangana participated in this programme. There were 12 competitions in literary, arts and cultural sections organised as part of the Youth Festival. All the universities organised University NSS Youth Festivals and the winners have been nominated to the state youth festival.

19 NSS Volunteers and one Program Officer participated in this programme. The University which acquired more number of prizes was to be awarded the Overall Championship Award. In this Youth Festival JNTUH got the Overall Championship Award by winning in nine competitions. Dr G Narasimha NSS Programme Coordinator JNTUH received the Overall Championship Award at KMC, Warangal.

In the history of JNTUH NSS Cell, this is the first time they received the award. On Monday, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated all the participants and the NSS Programme Officer –SVIT A. Uma Shanker, contingent leader for the Youth Festival and congratulated the NSS Programme Coordinator Dr. G. Narasimha for his sincere efforts in getting the overall championship. He also praised the efforts of the NSS Program Coordinator, NSS Programme Officers and NSS Volunteers for there continues support in making the University NSS Activities very live.
