Math Expo for government school students held
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics organised “Math Expo” under Maths Club GANANA for government school and college students, at R B V R Reddy Women’s College, Narayanaguda, Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics organised "Math Expo" under Maths Club GANANA for government school and college students, at R B V R Reddy Women's College, Narayanaguda, Hyderabad.
The Math Expo was inaugurated by College Secretary cum Correspondent Prof G Sudershan Reddy, Principal Dr K Sarada, Head of the Department Shweta Srivastava with other faculty members.
In this Expo , M Sc. Mathematics and B.Sc. Mathematics students displayed Posters, Models, Brain-Teasers covering different fields of Mathematics and Statistics along with real world applications and Mathematics softwares like Mathematica, SAGE and Statistics software Minitab with live demonstration that educate the students about the subjects and created awareness on recent developments in the subjects.
More than 500 students from different schools and colleges i.e.Madapati Hanumantha Rao Girls High School, Burugula Rama Krishna Rao School, Shamala Devi Junior College have visited the Math Expo. The students were overwhelmed and showed great interest towards the subject.
