MEC welcomes 6th batch of Engineering students
Mahindra Ecole Centrale College of Engineering, Hyderabad welcomed its 6th batch of Engineering students into campus on Friday. The students were welcomed on the campus by the Director, Deans and Head of the Departments.
Mahindra Ecole Centrale College of Engineering, Hyderabad welcomed its 6th batch of Engineering students into campus on Friday. The students were welcomed on the campus by the Director, Deans and Head of the Departments. They were introduced to the Institute, Domains, and subjects of study by the Heads of the Departments and Academic coordinators. In addition, over a three-day period, the students will be exposed to various fun and academic activities as a part of the orientation and ice-breakers. The event was also graced by Mr François Gautier, Consul General for French Consulate in Bangalore who had addressed the students and stressed upon the importance of Mahindra Ecole Centrale in Indo-French Collaboration
250 plus students joined in the Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering branches at Mahindra Ecole Centrale. Of these over 25 per cent are girl students.
Dr. Yajulu Medury, Director, Mahindra Ecole Centrale, greeted the students and introduced them to the institute. "We welcome you on MEC campus and will ensure that you receive the very best Engineering education. We will equip you with the best of breed technical skills, social skills and life skills that will empower not just your career but your whole life as well. It will be our endeavor to mentor you to take on not just local and global challenges but also sharpen your entrepreneurial skills ".
The students were taken through an introduction to the different areas on offer by the heads of the departments. Thereafter, they were introduced to buddy system for better coordination at MEC.
In addition, club interaction and ice breaking sessions took place. The three days are jam-packed with academic, cultural and sporting activities, giving the students a chance to get to know the institute, their teachers as well as classmates.
These activities will surely expose them to what is in store for them during their 4 years of life at MEC.
