On the occasion of the birthday of Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandra Shekar Rao Garu, a sapling plantation drive and green walk has organised by Pallavi Group of Schools in Hyderabad on Monday. As part of the events, the Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally campus organised a green walk.

It was flagged off by Malla Reddy, Minister of Labour, Employment, Women & Child Development near Suchitra X-Roards, Kompally. Venkateshwarulu, IAS, District Collector and District Magistrate, Medchal- Malkajgiri also participated in this event.
It was a spectacular sight to see around 500 students from classes IV and V carrying banners showcasing the importance of saving the environment with eye-catchy slogans like 'Save Trees', 'Think Green And Live Green', 'Breathe Easy, Lets Plant Some Trees' etc.
Apart from the Green Walk, a sapling plantation drive took place in Pallavi Model school, Alwal and Pallavi International School, Gandipet. MLA Mynampalli Hanumanth Rao, Malkajgiri and Kale Yadaiah, MLA, Chevella took the initiative in promoting it further by encouraging students to plant more saplings and trees and administered the green challenge pledge to the students.
Pallavi Model School's Chairman M. Komaraiah, Shailaja Reddy, Principal, Bowenpally campus, Sunir Nagi, Principal, Alwal campus, Meetali, Principal, Pallavi International School, Gandipet and all the staff were also present to motivate and encourage the children for this event. It was a perfect way to take part in this Green India Challenge and contribute to Greener and cleaner India.
