TechNEX 2019 mega event held at DPS, Nacharam
“Computers are magnificent tools for the realisation of our dreams, but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit”. On August 30th all roads led to DPS, Nacharam where a mega event TechNEX 2019, the second edition of IT Fest was being organized.

On August 30th all roads led to DPS, Nacharam where a mega event TechNEX 2019, the second edition of IT Fest was being organized. This two-day event was a true amalgamation of technology and human spark. The event was inaugurated by G. Jagadish Reddy, Education Minister, Govt. of Telangana, Malka Komaraiah, Chairman DPS, and Malka Pallavi, Director, DPS.
Other dignitaries present were C.V.D. Ramprasad, Director – Software Technology Parks of India,. Praveena Bhimavarapu, Vice President, India Head (IT) State Street India Pvt. Ltd. Saroj Kant Mallick – DIG CISF, Dr. T. Sudha Director Academics, Sunitha Rao, Principal DPS Nacharam & MH, Susheel Kumar, Director Pallavi Model School Boduppal, Dr. Suman, Jyothi Turaga Principal DPS Nadergul.
The event began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp. Chief Guest addressed the students and applauded them for the wonderful efforts.
The IT fest was executed on a mammoth scale with 306 projects done by the students under the mentorship of their faculty. The projects encompassed areas of Robotics, Aeromodelling, IOT and Cyber Safety. The event saw 100 per cent participation of all students from classes VII to XII. Without disturbance to academics and under the able guidance of Vice-Principals and Computer Department, thousands of students and teachers worked tirelessly over a period of time to make this research- based event a reality.
The highlight of the event was Aeromodelling which was an absolute treat to the eyes.17 different Quad Copters were specifically designed for disaster management including areas like Firefighting, Flood and Evacuation, Organ transfer, Medicine dropping and various others were operated by trained students which flew over the sprawling cricket grounds.
Special projects of Atal Tinkering Lab like Robotic Fish and Brain controlled Robot were the centre of attraction. IOT (Internet of Things) and Software related encompassed projects like Smart City, Room Automation, Road Safety Management and Smart Electricity Saver.
Other projects which caught the attention included Cyber Safety, Gaming and Future of Mobile App, Hacking and Cyber Security took centre stage. As part of the event;sessions on Cyber Safety were held for students, parents and visiting schools in the Auditorium of the School.Web Technologies included 16 projects on designing a website, Google tools, working of search engines, social networking, web designing, 3 D printing, Future technology, Software and Hardware, Gaming, Graphics and Web creation.
Many parents and schools who were invited witnessed this event. Parents also came in large numbers to show their support. They wholeheartedly appreciated the efforts of the students.
The mega event will be culminating in a valediction ceremony on Saturday evening. Best Projects will be awarded cash prizes and special mention certificates. This event was a massive showcase of innovative ideas coupled with teamwork for student to explore opportunities by being creative, understand the basics of research and exhibit their talent. The visitors were astonished with the display, execution and presentation of the students. In all TechNEX 2019 was a grand success and an event to remember.
