No matter, how far two people are living from each other, they are connected with a bond called friendship. We human beings are social animals and we need somebody faithful to share and care for and therefore we need a rue relationship which has a whiff of true friendship. Friends, with their lovable demeanour help us in trusting ourselves victoriously with the trust they give in the relationship. People around the globe celebrate Friendship day on the first Sunday of August.
The emotions and feelings of friendship are difficult to be deciphered. From ancient times, there have been numerous instances of friendship that have changed the entire meaning of humanity. Friendship is one such emotion which is use by writers and directors.
History of Friendship Day
Although, the exact reason for the celebration of Friendship Day is not yet known but the need for it was felt due to the devastating effects of the First World War. The occasion was thought as an effort that could dissolve the mistrust, hatred and enmity among people of various countries through the strong ties of global friendship.
To work in the same direction, US Congress marked the First Sunday of August as Friendship Day through a formal proclamation that was announced in the year 1935. Later, other countries too started celebrating the day.
Friendship day is the day we get to wish our friends and tell them how important they are in our lives. Earlier we used to celebrate friendship day by giving greeting cards, flowers and friendship bands. But in this era of internet, we tend to miss the bond as the physical things have become virtual ones in reality.
Do you think there is someone in your life that you can look at and say "Our Friendship is unconditional"? If you do, you are the luckier one.
If you don't, it is never too late to start loving someone unconditionally. Love your friends for who they are. "Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything." said the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.
