Updating professional skills to serve society better must

Hyderabad: State Law Secretary V Niranjan Rao asked young advocates to contribute their best to society while finetuning their professional skills. In his address as chief guest at the valedictory of the third batch of 110 advocates who have undergone a five-day training programme at the NALSAR University of Law, Rao, said "the profession of lawyers is an important one in the society. Training to acquire professional skills would further help them in to contribute their mite to the development of the society," he added. Asking those trained at the five-day programme to act as ambassadors of the Telangana Advocates Welfare Trust (TAWT) at their workplace to inspire others, he appreciated the efforts of the role played by the Supreme Court advocate Baba Sreehari, High Court AGP V Madhusudhan Reddy, High Court Advocates AP Suresh, K Shiva Charan and the research scholars and faculty of the NALSAR.

The participating advocates expressed that the training was not only confined to the legal subjects but also the stimulation exercises, Modal Courts, stressing on the practical interactive sessions, besides the Yoga and Meditation sessions are also helped them.

The trainees have presented cheques besides training completion certificates by Rao and NALSAR Registrar and Professor V Balakista Reddy. Former High Court Chief Justice B Prakash Rao, High Court advocates Priya Iyengar, V Sridhar Reedy, Mohan Rao, Police Academy Trainer and former Public Prosecutor E Ramulu, former Law Secretary Damodhar were among those who taught during the training programme, besides the NALSAR scholars and faculty.
