Visakhapatnam: A team of leaders from various start-up companies encouraged the students to focus largely on societal connectivity and networking to achieve success in entrepreneurship.
At the training session on 'entrepreneurship development for budding engineers and management students' concluded recently at Vignan's Institute of Information Technology (Autonomous) campus, they exhorted the students to focus on their core area to hone their entrepreneurial skills before embarking on their career path.
Organised jointly by Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and VIIT, Duvvada, the start-up talks saw founder and CEO of Go Green Industries Seelam Maniraj, Co-founder and COO of Happy Adda Studios Raja Sekhar Vasa, CEO and founder of Isthriwala Ram Suravarapu, among others addressing and interacting with the students.
Citing examples of the hardships experienced during the initial stages of their career, the CEOs and COOs highlighted that an entrepreneur should think about larger picture of their ventures and consider sustainability, environment, society and ethics while exploring new opportunities.
Rector of VIIT V. Madhusudhana Rao encouraged the students to opt for entrepreneurship as it supports Indian economy and GDP. About 200 B Tech and MBA students participated in the event and some of them had an opportunity to discuss about their ideas with the CEOs of the start-up firms and seek their feedback.
