Seven Ministers to be included in the Karnataka Cabinet tomorrow

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa who, on Sunday, met union home minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda in the national capital told the reporters that seven ministers will be inducted in the state cabinet on January 13. He revealed that seven names have been finalised but was tight lipped about the names and portfolios.
Yediyurappa said the meeting was fruitful and it went better than expected. "The Central leadership has assured of all the support and we have discussed the cabinet expansion in detail.
The suggestions were given to the leaders by us. I am satisfied with the discussion I had with the leaders," Yediyurappa told reporters. When asked if there would be cabinet expansion or reshuffle the CM said, "You will know soon. The oath taking ceremony will take place on January 13." Yediyurappa is facing immense pressure from the turnout lawmakers responsible for the fall of the coalition government led by JD(S) supremo HD Kumaraswamy to be inducted into the cabinet.
MLCs MTB Nagaraj and R Shankar, and MLA Muniratna who toppled the coalition government are eyeing for the berth in the cabinet while Arvind Limbavali and MLC CP Yogeshwar from the BJP are also said to be hopeful of getting a ministerial post.
Stating that the party high command is happy with the gram panchayat results, Yediyurappa said that the central leadership expects them to prepare for the by-polls and elections to the taluk panchayat and zilla panchayat polls.
While the state government is facing stiff criticism from all quarters over amendments being made to APMC Act and Land Reforms Act, Yediyurappa said that the next budget would be farmer friendly.
Responding to the Congress leader Siddaramaiah's statement on the probability of the change in leadership, he said that he would let him decide once he steps down as the CM.
Recently, state-in charge and BJP general secretary Arun Singh said that there would be no change in the leadership and Yediyurappa will continue to be at the helm of the affairs.
