Mumbai: Designer Ujjawal Dubey showcased his latest collection on the sustainable day of Lakmé Fashion Week – Winter/Festive 2019. His designs took inspiration from the continual game of see-saw between an unadulterated soul and the worldly existence; where a walk-through life is not possible without being touched by the 'Worldliness' of it all.

Navigating the varied realms of the spiritual plane, Antar-Agni's Winter/Festive'19 collection relayed a story of a pure soul and its recurrent brushes with reality, confrontations and subsequent adulterations—ultimately inducing a character that is world-driven. Every ensemble in the collection commenced with a sense of simplicity, which then moved on to create a play of magnificent drama. Helming individuality at the forefront, the collection also paid homage to freedom from the constraints of impatience, fear, inhibitions, gender and all those narrow boxes that life binds us in.

Elevating with soft layers and sharp silhouettes that echo the inner psyche, Ujjawal's collection showcased a series of draped and layered styles in the form of handwork and neat tailoring, all crafted with a mix of zari/ cotton and elastane. A colour story with a majority of ivory and strokes of pigeon grey, mouse greys, deep blue and browns brought his winter-festive line together.

Speaking about the show, designer Ujjawal Dubey says, "A new experimental show is what we tried this time, and are humbled by the love we received from everyone."
