All of those, International Yoga Day holds much importance as it dedicated to the age-old exercising form. With the request made to UN by Narendra Modi, this International organization has dedicated a day to 'Yoga' in 2015. So, it is 5th International Yoga Day… Being Coronavirus lockdown period all are suggested to perform their workouts at their home and own a toned body.

Surya Namaskar also known as sun salutation and it is one of the most basic and strongest practices of Yoga. This practice doesn't require any equipment as it is a complete and a comprehensive exercise and anybody can attempt this practice. Surya Namaskar has 12 steps and a mantra for each step. The mantra represents 12 zodiac signs which supplies energy to the body. It is about building a dimension in yourself to sync your physical body with the solar cycle. Most asanas start with a few rounds of Surya Namaskar. Surya Namaskar is designed in such a way that it makes your energies radiate like the sun. This practice helps me stay fit, keeps my skin healthy, makes me calmer and boosts my energy levels. As we celebrate #InternationalYogaDay, let's inhale positivity and exhale negativity. Stand in tadasana (mountain pose), with your feet together, or hip-width apart. Spread your toes. Lift your inner arches. Distribute your weight evenly between the right and left sides of your body. Settle your feet into the floor as if they were sending down roots. ▫️ Then, shift your weight into your left leg. Press down with the root of your big toe and your outer heel. Externally rotate your right leg and place the sole of your right foot on your inner left leg, above or below (but not on) your knee. Level your hips. When you feel steady, stretch your arms overhead, hands parallel to each other. Relax your shoulders away from your ears. ▫️ Imagine yourself a tree in a grove. Sense the calm, rooted presence of your tree companions. Gaze forward at a point that does not move. Widen your peripheral vision. If you are practicing in front of a wall, feel back through your body to sense its steady presence. Breathe slowly and quietly. If your eyes harden or wander, or if your mind is agitated, your balance will waver. Be easy. Observe your mind, your breath. This pose may reveal previously unacknowledged distractions.
