It is truly said that nothing ever grows until you step out of your comfort zone. To grow in life, it is necessary to risk it all without playing safe. There's nobody better than Raja Abhishek Kondamareddy who proves it. He is an Interior and Product designer from Hyderabad, India. His artistic behaviour goes back to his childhood and as a kid, he loved to do anything creative. Drawing sketches in his leisure time were his favourite hobby. Like many one of us, when he completed his school, he was confused about which stream to choose. Being just 17 and going by the influence of his friends, he took up engineering but later realised that he was not meant for it. He dropped out of engineering and got back to his roots – designing. He gave himself sufficient time after changing his stream to learn the new skills required to be a designer. He strived for perfection and did not want to do anything in haste.

A career as an engineer had several job opportunities but his heart desired something else. He was not someone to do a desk job in a software company because he felt that it becomes stagnant with time. He was bold and took up a career in architecture and design which was a completely new experience for him. By the end of 2013, he moved to Florence, Italy which is known as the birthplace of the Renaissance. Later, he completed his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Interior and Product Design from Italy. Moreover, he strongly believes that good design is not always what a user gets to see in the best form. "Design is not just pure aesthetics. The design should also be functional. If something looks good but not functional, it doesn't add any value to space", he said.

Raja completed his studies in 2017 after which he worked for 2 years in Italy to get a proper experience. With working in several Italian companies in Milan and Florence, he also kept his options open to work as a freelance designer. Managing time for a job and his freelance projects was a strenuous thing but his efficiency of work made it easier. However, Raja Abhishek Reddy quit his job for starting his own architecture and design company. He returned to India earlier this year and he already has clients from USA, Italy and in Hyderabad. Parting ways with engineering for a career in architecture and design was the best decision of his life and today the designer is doing the best work and is at the top of his game.
