The first official result in the erstwhile Chittoor district went in favour of TDP candidate Dr VM Thomas in GD Nellore. He defeated his rival YSRCP's K Krupa Lakshmi by a margin of 27500 votes. She is the daughter of deputy CM K Narayana Swamy.

TDP is leading in Venkatagiri
Nellore: After completion of 17th round TDP nominee Kurugondla Ramakrishna is 7,012 lead against his YSRCP political rival Nedurumalli Sriramkumar Reddy in assembly segment.
According to the sources Kurugondla Ramakrishna got 77,449 votes, while Nedurumalli Ramkumar Reddy got 70,126 votes leads 7,012 votes lead in the 17th round.

Nellore: Interestingly Telugu Desam Party which has 50/50 chances in Sulurupet assembly segment now surprisingly 7,966 votes in the 8th round counting of votes.
TDP nominee Nelavala Vijayasree has,secured 38, 819 votes, while YSRCP nominee Keliveti Sanjeevaiah got 29, 859 votes after completion of 8th round counting of votes.
