Andhra Pradesh Elections 2024 LIVE Updates
After a high decibel campaign, including by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top leaders of Congress and BRS, the stage is now set for polling on Monday to elect 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.
The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements to conduct free and free and fair polls. Prominent leaders including Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, BJP state chief D Purandeswari and APCC president YS Sharmila are in the fray.

Nellore: After several years first of its kind in the history of nellore district people voluntary thronged to the polling centers for exercising their franchise despite lack of proper amenities.
Even as district has recorded 42 degrees Celsius temperature on Monday, voters are patiently waiting of their turn under scorching sun in long queues.
This kind of situation not only witnessed in the villages but also in the town like Atmakuru, Kovuru, nellore city.
Scores of youth from nellore district settled in Soft ware field in different countries across the globe came to the district in the interest of exercising their franchise on Monday.
On other side people suffering from Leprosy disease residing in Amancharla village Leprosy Colony of Venkatachalam mandal seen thronged to the polling booth in the village in the interest of exercising their voting right despite political parties ignored to approach for various reasons.
Even oldaged people crossed 80 years seen standing in the queues witnessed the inspiration of people clearly indicating the change of government in the ensuing elections.

Bharatiya Janata Party State President, BJP TDP Jana Sena Alliance Rajahmundry MP candidate *Daggubati Purandeshwari and her husband Daggubati Venkateswara Rao cast their vote at VL Puram polling booth 50/166 in Rajamahendravaram city.
Speaking on this occasion, she said that the most valuable thing in democracy is our right to vote given by the Constitution. Sh said that this election will give us a great opportunity to elect leaders who can lead our country effectively and govern ourselves for five years.
Everyone is asked to vote responsibly and be a part of preserving democracy. She called on people to vote and elect wisely and elect those who have integrity and lead the country on the path of development and maintain unity.

Voters complain laxity in arrangements at Kanuru in Krishna district
Voters at Kanuru village on the outskirts of Vijayawada picked argument with the officials for making them wait for five hours at the polling station at Kennedy school in Kanuru. They complained about poor arrangements and poor response from the officials to solve problems.
The voters see a conspiracy of vested interests to discourage people from voting. They lamented that about five hours lost due to the delay.
