Andhra Pradesh Elections 2024 LIVE Updates
After a high decibel campaign, including by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top leaders of Congress and BRS, the stage is now set for polling on Monday to elect 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.
The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements to conduct free and free and fair polls. Prominent leaders including Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, BJP state chief D Purandeswari and APCC president YS Sharmila are in the fray.
Hans India too has made arrangements for live updates of polls across the two states from Monday 9 am.

Chittoor district recorded 61.94 percent polling by 3 pm. The poll percentages of various constituencies in the district are: GD Nellore 66.93 percent, Chittoor 64.33 percent, Nagari 61.93 percent, Puthalapattu 60.19 percent, Palamaner 61.40 percent, Kuppam 60.45 percent and Punganur 59.30 percent.

859441 votes (52 percent) were cast till 3 pm in the Rajahmundry parliamentary constituency with a total of 1623149 voters. Among them, 443210 women and 45 transgenders voted. The details of the votes cast in the 7 assemblies under this parliamentary constituency are as follows.
121519 (53.76%) voted out of 226053 voters in Anaparthi Assembly. There were 216491 voters in Rajanagaram, 117260 people (54.16%) voted.
In Rajahmundry City, 126071 (47.13%) people voted out of 267484 voters. Out of 272826 voters in Rajahmundry Rural, 145677 (53.40%) voted.

EC directs to detain MLA Annabathuni Sivakumar at his house
Election commission directed the officials to detain Tenali MLA and YSRCP candidate for Assembly constituency Annabathuni Sivakumar at house till completion of polling .E.C issued orders to this effect. MLA Annabathuni Sivakumar manhandled a voter at Itanagar for asking the MLA to stand in the queue . MLA manhandled the voter. The voter slapped the MLA. The election commission took this matter seriously and directed to detain MLA Annabathuni Sivakumar at his house till the completion of polling.
