Ganesh Visarjan / Nimajjanam Live Updates: All set for smooth Ganesh Nimajjanam in Hyderabad
Hyderabad to turn out in force to bid adieu to Lord Ganesha as the grand spectacle begins on Thursday. As the city sees hoopla all around over wrapping up of the 10-day festivities with the immersion of thousands of Ganesh idols in various waterbodies, the mammoth Ganesh procession, with all its sound and glory will kick start from Khairtabad at 9 am followed by Balapur after the auction of iconic laddu.
With Khairtabad and Balapur Ganeshas leading the colourful procession, wherein musical bands and dance troupes entertain the onlookers enroute the immersion point, the city will be immersed in devotion.
As the time ticks on, scores of smaller processions from different parts of the city inch towards the Tank Bund. Sporting saffron caps, youth in huge numbers will participate in the festivities with zeal and zest. Following massive turnout of devotees to view the magnificent event, a security blanket has been cast over the city to ensure smooth conduct of the immersion festivities. Dasari Dayanand Reddy from Turkayamjal was the lucky one among 36 people who got the priced laddu for Rs 27 lakh.
The Laddu auction saw intense battle among the bidders on Thursday. While there were 36 members three to four persons had a tough fight to stake claim over the laddu. Read More

Police issue safety measures for Ganesh immersion
Hyderabad city police have issued a safety measures for event organizers to follow during the Ganesh immersion process.
Police advised the devotees to commence the immersion process early to avoid congestion and ensure a timely procession. Only a specified number of idols should be carried in the vehicle. The use of DJs on vehicles is strictly prohibited on the day of immersion. The vehicle movement should not affect or cause any obstruction to free flow of traffic on the road. No person should be in the influence of alcohol or any other narcotic substances in the procession. Colours including kumkum or gulal should not be sprinkled on others. Read More

Officials ask to take precautions during Shobha Yatra
Following the rain forecast, the municipal corporation and other departments kept a tight vigil and has taken appropriate measures to ensure that the devotees do not face any inconvenience during the Ganesh Shobha Yatra.
According to GHMC, the authorities directed the officials and monsoon emergency teams to be vigilant. The teams were directed to clear all water stagnation points across the city. Read More

Ganesh Procession : TSRTC diverts district buses
In wake of Ganesh procession, the TSRTC diverted buses arriving from districts.
MD TSRTC, VC Sajjanar informed that the interstate and district buses which will be arriving at MGBS will be taking diversion, after entering City. The movements of Inter state/ District Buses will be restricted from 8 am on September 28 till 8 am the next day. Read More

36 persons to try their luck in Balapur Laddu Auction

Police Drone teams monitoring Ganesh idol immersion closely
Special drone teams have been deployed to monitor closely the movement of people and Ganesh idol immersion across the idol procession routes in the city.
Police said the drone teams are recording the idol procession and reviewing instantly the flood of people to visit the immersion spots. Based on inputs, police will take extra safety measures mainly to avoid any untoward incidents. Read More
