With good rains in Cauvery catchment area Krishna Raja Sagara dam in Mandya district continued to release excess water of 43,475 cusecs to river leading to Tamilnadu on Tuesday. 

Mysuru News: Dasara Gajapayana on 1 October

It has been decided to hold Gajapayana, the first ever event to herald the beginning of preparations for Dasara, “Gaja Payana” to fetch Dasara elephants from their forest camps to Mysuru city on 1 October, in a simple manner with traditional poojas to the Elephants, just to ensure that the tradition is not dropped.  Few officers from Mysuru district administration including forest officers, will go to forest and fetch elephants in trucks to Aranya Bhavan in Mysuru on 1 October. And they will be welcomed  to Palace courtyards, with traditional poojas on 2 October as already scheduled. And the pachyderms and their care takers will stay at Palace courtyards till the end of Dasara.

Mysuru Latest News: With Confusion over report, Covid infected comes in contact with atleast 15 contacts in six days

With the confusion in COVID 19 report, farmer of Nanjangud village, Siddappa had come in close contact with atleast 15 primary and secondary contacts for six days, before he was taken to Nanjangud government hospital on Monday night. Siddappa is currently treated at Covid hospital in Mysuru.

Telangana coronavirus update: Telangana recorded 2,166 new COVID-19 cases and 10 related deaths, pushing the tally of positive cases to 1.74 lakh.

The toll rose to 1,052 as 10 more succumbed to the illness, a state government bulletin said on Tuesday, providing data as of 8 PM on September 21.
