Transco AE trapped by ACB
Bondapalli (Vizianagaram): Anti Corruption bureau staff has caught an electrical engineer for accepting bribe form a farmer. P.Jayaveer Vishnu, DSP of ACB informed that S.Appala Naidu, a farmer of Ompilli village of Bondapalli mandal has approached D.Murali Mohan Rao , Assistant Engineer, APTRANSCO, Bondapalli for getting electrical connections to his farm land.
But the assistant engineer D.Murali Mohan Rao has demanded a huge money to lay an electrical pole and to provide electric connection to that farm land. Meanwhile the farmer Appala Naidu has approached the ACB staff.
On Thursday as per the directions of ACB staff, the farmer has handed over the bribe amount of Rs10,000 to the engineer Murali mohan in that village . Meanwhile the ACB officials have caught him red-handed. Case us booked and the accusedvwould be produced before the ACB court at Visakhapatnam.

ACB raids seven places in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths raided the residence of M Nageshwara Rao, working as Electrical AE, APEPDCL in Kommadi division, on Thursday morning in connection with amassing disproportionate assets.
According to the officials, Nageshwara Rao had faced several charges in the past and added that he is known to accept bribes for performing his duties.
On Thursday, the ACB officials carried out a series of raids across the district. It is leant that irregularities were recorded against the AE with regard to amassing wealth in excess of his income.
Based on reliable information, the searches were held at seven places under the supervision of Additional SP Shaik Shakeela Bhanu and DSP Sri Ranga Raju.

Coronavirus: India reports 11,666 new cases in last 24 hours
India's Covid-19 tally of cases crossed 1.07 crore with 11,666 new coronavirus infections being reported in a day, while the number of people who have recuperated from the disease has surged to 1,03,73,606 pushing the national recovery rate to 96.94 per cent, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.
